Hi! I'm Hannah "Broch" Moss. I'm a whale and dolphin enthusiast who has the misfortune of living in southern Ontario. I created this blog to host a drawing series where I draw and catalog phantom whale species. Full disclosure, I am not any sort of biologist myself, I just love animals and I'm fascinated specifically by their messy taxonomic history. I've been drawn paleoart in the past and apply a lot of the same methodology to these whale drawings.
This is a history blog, essentially. My interest lays with how we humans interpret the natural world and how our observations have improved with time.
I'm fine with my art being used in YouTube videos and presentations, ideally with credit to either me (Broch Moss, @BrochJam) or this blog (ThePaperWhales.blogspot.com).
